Amy Jackson

Secretary (since January 2015)

Amy works alongside Eveleen and together they are the main point of contact for queries coming into the College. Administrative work includes: student applications; entrance exams and offers; enrolments; accounts receivable; student attendance and grants; organising school tours: mailings / communications; results and graduation; reporting to Teagasc and the Department of Agriculture; supporting verifications of student work; support to the Trustees, Governors, Staff and Students; being a member of the Campus Committee and acting as Secretary for same (for implementation of the College Strategic Plan); quarterly / annual reporting for internal purposes / to key stakeholders (quarterly / end of year accounts; stock takes and HR related).

This academic year (2017/18) approximately 350 students commenced on full time Agriculture / Equine courses and part time / distance education Agriculture courses; at the same time there are approximately 130 students half way through part time / distance education Agriculture courses; there are always a small number of actively participating legacy students too, which means there are typically 500 students participating on courses in an academic year.

Outside of work Amy is a part-time farmer managing a closed flock of approximately 150 ewes, organically.
