Student Support

Starting college is exciting with so many new experiences, we do our best to help you with whatever challenges you are facing. We want you to be happy and successful here.

Orientation

New students arriving in September are eased gently into College life. It’s a time to settle in to your accommodation, make friends, meet staff, familiarise yourself with our campus and health and safety requirements. Course credits are applied for attendance.

Accommodation and Dining

The student service team will give you advice on getting used to living independently and settling into to your home away from home.

Learner and disability support

The learner support service is available to all students. By working with you we can find out how best to support you and help your transition from school to college be as smooth and easy as possible. Contact our learning support staff (access officer) for further information.

Emotional and mental health

The student welfare team is your contact if you are experiencing personal or emotional problems or just need a friendly ear.

Chaplaincy

Our college chaplain is available to listen to whatever worries or issues you may have.

Healthcare

Our  student welfare team  is available to help you make appointments for our college GP.

Financial Support

Please talk to our college bursar for advice on managing your money and support if you are struggling financially and need to apply for the Student Hardship Fund.

Academic Council

Our Academic Council support the college’s academic activity. Each September students elect 2 members (2 Ag. Students ) to sit on the Academic Council for the year. Student present the thoughts and ideas they gather from the student body to the Academic Council.
